The American Presidents have many characteristics, but one common element is often unrecognized -- they are all part of one extended family.
With only a few exceptions, one of whom was a homosexual, and two who were first generation American who married into Presidental cousin families, they are all POTUS COUSINS.
That is, the President was a cousin to one or more Presidents and First Ladies.
An interesting example, despite all that has been written about President Obama, nobody seems to have mentioned that he was a 3rd cousin 10x removed to George Washington; a 10th cousin 1x removed to George Bush; a 8th cousin 3x removed to Bill Clinton; and in all, he was related, via common grandparents, to 19 prior administrations.
Even POTUS-45, Donald Trump, who is himself a first generation American, is the father of a POTUS Cousin, his daughter Tiffany Trump, whose mother is from the ancestral line of multiple past presidents.
