With over a billion acres of dense forest cover, getting lost in any part of the Amazon rainforest can turn any fun adventure into a nightmare. The mere denseness and the enormity of the jungle coupled with the massively large amounts of rainfall (it goes up to 9 feet each year), along with the many dangerous animals (the likes of boa constrictors, piranhas, jaguars, and poisonous arrow frogs) can make your life even more complicated whether you are alone or in a small group of people. The truth is; while making it out of the jungle requires lots of specific skills and knowledge, understanding the rule of 3s can work in your favor if you want to stay long enough to see yourself out of the jungle. The rule of 3s states that you can survive for up to 3 hours without a synchronized body temperature, 3 days without water and up to 3 weeks without food. As such, as you prepare to survive in the dense forest, you should keep in mind that you need the following things to stay alive: Water, Fire, Shelter.
