Ethan Roland, who has the past of losing his parents and two sisters by a fire and being alive only himself without injury at his seventh birthday, came to New York after the death of his grandfather, Jonasan.
Working as a warehouseman, he lives in frugality.
He goes to a mental clinic named “Perla Clinic”, and is prescribed some sleeping－draughts and tranquilizers once a week. The doctor, Miss Jodie Perla, has found out that he has something secret in his mind, and encourages him to tell about it. But he never tells her.
One day, after his lunch, Ethan meets a Japanese young man named Jin Nakazaki, who has power of turning on the water out of hands. Jin invite him to the bar Jin always visits. Ethan meets the master of the bar named Daniel Williams (Danny) there. Danny is Jin’s best friend. Ethan knows the encounter between Jin and Danny, and tells them his real past. Jin and Danny invitehim to tell the truth to Ethan’s GP, Jodie Perla......
