The theory that I shall seek to elaborate here puts considerable emphasis on the relevance of macroeconomics, controversies in macroeconomics, realism in macroeconomics, emerging issues in macroeconomics, and the future of macroeconomics. In this book I am particularly interested in exploring philosophical debates in economics, the open economy, economic growth in the long run, and fiscal and monetary policy. I am specifically interested in how previous research investigated economic decision makers, business cycle measurement, international monetary cooperation, and macroeconomic influences on the foreign exchange market.
