Male Selective Hearing Disorder or Ear Wax Build-up?: The Controversy (English Edition)

For generations the issue has been debated as to whether males experience a genuine loss of hearing when speaking with or attempting to listen to their female counterparts. Is this disorder, which results in this auditory loss of information and the resultant diminution of interpersonal relations, a product of a psychological mechanism or physiological blockage? While this short treatment cannot aspire to resolve the issue in a definitive fashion, it will tentatively suggest paths of research which may be conducted to shine a light on this wildly misunderstood and misconceived issue in today's discourse on gender-based communication.
