Israel Jelin: I was born in São Paulo in the first half of the 20th century. It sounds quite a long time, doesn’t it? And indeed it is, but there’s nothing I can I do about it.
I graduated from USP in Law and English in 1970, but as I don’t believe in justice I never worked as a lawyer. I was always an English teacher. A choice I never regretted.
I wrote lots of books, both in English and in Portuguese, including an enormous dictionary, which weighs almost 3 kilos.
