In Volume 5 our story tells about the events of the 14th Century which include the development of the Great Plague – The Black Death. Of all the countries in Europe, Poland was the one place that halted its advance towards them. The reader will learn how the King thwarted this pestilence and that it was a Jew that developed the plan and carried it out. The book, also, shows how the other members of the family living outside of Poland survived the plague. There is a desperate sea voyage and a shipwreck that will alter the lives and end one of these family members. There will be a reunion between the Polish families and the Pomeranian family which will lead to the forging of a new alliance between Poland and Lithuania and set the stage for the marriage of the country's greatest King and Queen. There is the development of the Teutonic State and its plan to destroy Poland and take over its people and lands, just as they did to the Prussians and the Pomeranians. There are great love affairs, intrigues, acts of vengeance and revenge and more swordplay between men and women. Poland will become the only refuge for the Jewish race in all of Europe.
