Miss Vera Johnson’s Short Life of Crime: A Novella (English Edition)

Before Miss Johnson can get to San Francisco on her summer vacation, she gets kidnapped by Tommy, who was once in her third grade class, and Eric, his cousin. She sees that the boys have decided on a life of "petty" crime, as she calls it, and sees that Tommy needs her help more than ever. She goes along with them and participates by helping them plan a series of "jobs" which do not really work out the way the boys had hoped. Fortunately, Miss Johnson is pleased by the adventure and by the way it turns out.
