Noah's been alone for a long time. After Noah lost his parents when they were in killed in a devastating car crash, Noah had a teenage romance that was over almost before it began. The romance was a disaster, but it caused a good change; it spurred Noah and his brother, Clay, to turn their ranch into a large farm, small bed and breakfast, and one of the best therapeutic horseback riding programs in the country. Now Noah's far too busy to leave the isolated Montana ranch to look for love. Then, a few days before Christmas, guests from Chicago come to stay for a holiday visit at the ranch.
