Grammar refers to the rules for speaking and writing a
language properly. Putting nouns and verbs together to form
sentences is easy. But learning and understanding
the other kinds of words and word groups necessary for
sentences that fully convey the intended meaning, the
different ways to put them together to make clear and
precise sentences and paragraphs to do that, and how to
keep those sentences and paragraphs interesting, is a
different story.
“All play is educational play, just as all television is
educational television. We may not be happy about the
curriculum, but the learning happens just the same. Good
stuff, bad stuff, stupid stuff — it all gets played
and learned.” Kyle Pruitt, Time to Play! Challenging and
leading youth to excel in education, character, and
leadership is our mission at The Button Nose Kidz, LLC,
and we completely agree with Mr. Pruitt!
That’s why all kinds of grammar lessons and other educational
nuggets are “hidden” throughout the pages. For example,
did you remember the difference between a homophone
and a homonym before reading Needle’s Jokeology?
