Childhood friends, whose affectionate relationship suffered an abrupt disruption, are reunited unexpectedly in the home of a mutual acquaintance. Both bear the marks of life's disappointments as they set about renegotiating the terms of their association. When they choose to ignore a weather warning, the two are treated to one last adventure.
