What exactly is the Paleo diet?
The paleo diet consists mainly of fish, eggs, grass fed raised meats, poultry, nuts, fruits & veggies, and fungi. Basically the diet includes almost all of the things our ancestors consumed through hunting and gathering.
The first humans on the planet had to fend for themselves when it came to food. They relied on hunting and eating natural food, made up of animals and plants. At present, we get any type of food we want from the store nearby and cook it conveniently at home. All the ingredients, utensils, even the gas needed for cooking is available easily.
This wasn’t the case back then. And it is from that era that Paleolithic style cooking emerged. It has been around for over 2 million years, but the number of people following it has decreased. Currently, there are all but 84 tribes that are known to hunt their food instead of seeking the other convenient methods people take for granted nowadays.

Generally, you will be avoiding most foods that either don't come from an animal, a fish, or the ground.
