Summer, 1940.
Harriet Bell, an evacuee from London, is sent to the country to stay with her Mad Aunt Dot until the bombs stop falling. Life in the city may have been perilous but, as Harriet is about to discover, the ‘sleepy’ village of Bartleby is no picnic either.
Why does a strange car appear in the village each midnight? Why does her artist Aunt keep painting the same mysterious man? What are the eccentric Professor Trevelyan and his peculiar sister, Agatha, up to? And what do the Egyptian god Thoth and The Key to Immortality have to do with it all?
Harriet will soon be entrusted with a fantastic secret. But, when the Third Reich casts its shadow over all she holds dear, Harriet must undergo a mystical transformation and embark upon a terrifying mission to save them all. Disembodied and plunged into the heart of Nazi Germany... what could possibly go wrong?
