Pharmacy Technician Certification Study Guide, Vol 2 of 3: PTCB Exam Preparation Series (English Edition)

    Por Thomas King RPh.

    Sobre

This is a comprehensive book that reviews all the non-math knowledge you need to pass the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Exam. It is written in a clear and concise format that simplifies complicated pharmacy concepts. Everything is explained so that even someone with no pharmacy work experience could understand it.

Other Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) review books are written in black and white because they were intended to be printed on cheap paperback. This book was written in color because it was written for digital publication. Color makes a book easier to understand. For example, Latin and Greek roots of vocabulary words are written in color to minimize study time. Instead of learning all vocabulary words, I'll teach you just the vocabulary words containing all the Latin and Greek roots that you'll need to know so you'll be able to identify words that I HAVEN'T taught you. So, if you see an unfamiliar word like carditis, you'll know that this means "heart inflammation" because I've taught you that cardiology is the study of the heart and dermatitis means skin inflammation.

Also, other PTCB exam preparation books put all their drug names in alphabetical order for you to memorize. Instead, I've put all drug names in drug name ending order so if you see a drug name that I HAVEN'T taught you, you'll still know what that drug is for. For example, in the drug list, I've put the antibiotics penicillin next to ampicillin so if you see an unfamiliar drug name such as ticarcillin on the PTCE, you'll know that is is an antibiotic because all drug names ending in "cillin" are antibiotics.

Other pharmacy tech exam review books are updated with a new edition every 2 to 3 years because other books are written for biennial paper book publishing runs. However, this pharmacy technician review book is one continuous edition that is updated every 4 months to reflect recent changes in the PTCB exam's knowledge base. I can do this because this book was written specifically for digital distribution. Therefore, there are topics covered in this PTCB exam review book that are not in any other book. Please note that although the publication date says August 2016, I actually upload an updated new edition of this book every 4 months. I've updated the book, but I cannot update the official publication date on Amazon or else I'll lose my sales ranking that I've built over time on Amazon.

Finally, many other pharmacy technician books are not even written by pharmacists. Check to see if the other book has "RPh" behind the author's name. I am the author of this book and my name is Thomas King. I have been teaching pharmacy technician classes for over 15 years. Over 99% of students from my live class pass the PTCB exam. I am a full time working pharmacist with both retail and hospital experience. I am so confident that you are getting the best book that I've put my personal phone number and email address in the book. Best of all, I will answer all your questions by email for the original owner of this pharmacy technician certification review book for up to 1 year! This is the second volume in the 3 volume PTCB Exam Preparation Series that will completely prepare you for the PTCB exam. I invite you to buy this book so that you will ace the PTCB exam and start your exciting new career in pharmacy today!
