I’m not sure whether this eBook will be entertaining or not. Creativity has never been my strong suit so the thought of writing a book would have filled me with dread in the past. In fact, just writing a one page story as a 15 year old was a struggle. However, rambling and moaning a little about my own life, that’s something that I can do. I just need to translate some of my internal monologues.
Since compiling the collection of stories, I’ve got a couple of friends to read excerpts and they chuckled along so maybe my writing is actually ok! Or they were giving me sympathy laughs. If they were and the eBook is boring then you’ll have to take it up with them.
So what am I actually going to be rambling on about? Basically my life. More precisely my life up to and including the past six months. It is 4 ½ months ago that I started dating Jo, my former work colleague. Prior to that, we’d probably have to rewind a good four or even five years for there to be enough interesting stories to fill even a couple of pages of an eBook.
Quite a lot has gone on in the past six months. There have been the usual ups and downs of any relationship, there have been tears, there has been laughter but generally speaking, there has been a lot of fun.
I’ve tried to structure the stories into some sort of sensical order but to be honest, they are a little bit random. Firstly, some of these stories span over months. Secondly, I don’t accurately remember when some of these things happened and finally, my thoughts are quite random so it makes sense that the eBook should be. Call it creative license. If poets can use random punctuation and phrases like, ‘henceforth’ then I can mix up the order of my stories.
To test the waters, this first feature includes just a couple of the stories that I’ve committed to online paper. If they’re boring and hated then I can hide them away, safe in the knowledge that they’ll never see your critical eyes again.
