Probe

Roger Dickson thought it was the chance of a lifetime. An opportunity to join a group of professionals in a voyage to Enceladus, a moon of Saturn, in order to investigate and hopefully interpret the source of signals that were emanating from an alien probe orbiting that moon. There was also the mysterious woman who intrigued him and encouraged him to go. What they found was not what they expected and sent them in a desperate flight back toward Earth, terror and fear in their hearts in what seemed like a hopeless attempt at survival which included the whole human race.
