25 years of teaching and painting, has helped me help my students to be the best that they can be. I am always encouraging students to bring their paintings UP-A-NOTCH. Painting is so personal and so soulful, that I feel it is an obligation as a teacher, to make sure that each student's painting meets with their intended goals. The painting process involves lots of do overs, rub-outs, re-drawing, and lots of mental strength to not get discouraged and keep positive and exciting about creating a successful painting.

In my classes, I am always thinking of why a student ack in one particular way in their learning of their craft. Sometimes it's a push and sometimes it's much easier. Every student is so different. A very talented student with a negative attitude will eventually fall behing a not so talented student with a painters' attitude /
