After being missing for seven years and presumed dead, former soldier Robin Loxley returns home dismayed by the economic standard of the country, he sets out reverse this problem in true Robin Hood style and robs from the rich to give to the poor. With the help of his Merry Men, he targets the wealthy who are part of the Gisburn Group conglomerate, a corrupt organisation who have people in the police and government to protect them and enhance their riches.
After a special ops mission in Afghanistan goes bad for an elite team in the British army, its leader Captain Robin Loxley goes missing, presumed dead, leaving long-time friend John Little and his team to disband and go their separate ways. Seven years later Robin returns to England, to see a very different country. Full of corruption, greed and crime. Feeling the need to act, Robin bands together a group of people from his past in the army and beyond with their unique talents, and decides to seek out those who are profiting from others' misery and take from them what they covet most and have taken from the poor, their riches. Together with John Little, Will Scarlet (a street con-man) and Much (a defunct computer specialist from GCHQ), Robin goes out to rob from the rich to give to the poor, in competition with the mysterious Marian ‘the maid’ Dubois (an aristocrat). All while being hunted by the unscrupulous and corrupt D.I. Nottingham. The rich hate and fear him, the people love him, but over time they all and the media will come to know him as the legend that is Robin Hood.
