    Por Jason Sturner

    Sobre

This week we have a new story by Ben Welton, telling the tale of a mad scientist’s assistant – After Frankenstein. Jason Sturner tells us all about Emily’s Meadow, while Brandon Ketchum relates How the Zombie Apocalypse Gave Me Wood, a saga of sex, social breakdown and walking corpses. The Days of Mr. Thomas tells us more about a struggle for survival in the land of good will, and Stephen Hernandez returns with a Faustian story of a truly Satanic scam. Daniel’s Dream reaches its penultimate episode, while in The Caves of Mars our hero endures an attack of the Brigands. The First Men in the Moon face up to their alien captors, while A Journey to the Centre of the Earth witnesses scenes of prehistoric aggro that went on to inspire a million and one stop-motion movies. And finally, another poem by Mathias Jansson warns of the potential hazards that may lurk behind apparent real estate bargains.

We’re still open to submissions to our latest anthology, The Pulpateers. What we’re looking for is previously unpublished old-style pulp stories in the genres of science fiction, fantasy and horror. Word length 6000. Please follow, as far as possible, the Lester Dent Pulp Fiction Formula. The content, as long as it’s sci fi/fantasy/horror, is up to the individual author, but try to make it pulpy and retro. Weird tales, superheroes, Flash Gordon-style space opera, even noir or spy-fi, as long as it has a supernatural or SF twist, will all be accepted. Deadline: 19th May. Payment: exposure plus discounted copies. Send all submissions to editor@schlock.co.uk
