Shake-a-Paw is one of my favorite tricks. It's a pretty easy dog trick to teach, too.
Shake-a-Paw looks like a doggie handshake. Your dog puts his paw in your hand and lets you shake it. It's fun for showing off to visitors, and it's a good, easy place to start before teaching other cool dog tricks.
I'm going to explain how to train the shake-a-paw trick with a clicker. If you haven't started clicker dog training, just use treats.
Here's what you'll need:
• A dog training clicker for instant feedback.
• The dog needs to be "charged" for the clicker. (Charging the clicker)
• Your dog's favorite treats are a useful incentive both with or without the clicker.
