    Sobre

Herbert George Wells was a creative English writer in many genres, including the novel, history, politics, and social commentary. Wells is now best remembered for his science fiction novels and he is sometimes called the father of science fiction like Jules Verne and Victor Hugo. His most famous science fiction works include The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, The Invisible Man, and The Island of Doctor Moreau.   In 1919 Wells published "The Outline of History," a huge book in three volumes, which he soon followed with the much shorter popular "A Short History of the World." This condensed book tells of the history of the world, opening with the believed origins of the Earth, then goes on to give details for the development of the Earth and life on Earth, until reaching primitive thought and the development of human race from the Cradle of Civilizations. The work ends with the outcome of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the League of Nations in 1922. In A Short History of the World Wells brings his monumental learning and sharp historical approaching to philosophy of human history.   This book nowadays is in the public domain, but a great work has been done by Publisher to this version to make an electronic book that contrasts favorably to the original version. A lot of errors that exist in the free versions have been corrected; proper navigation is available or shortly, the ASCII text has been converted into a proper e-book. And the most important, in addition to improved digitally 200 illustrations and 38 maps of original book, were added 11 new illustrations that help us to see how the History comes to Life.
