Kia, a princess by blood and Starlin, a princess by adoption, are sisters who share a similar fate. Starlin follows Kia no matter what she does. Kia wants nothing to do with her kingdom after her mother was killed when she was ten. Years later, they both run away after Kia’s father refuses to let her leave even with a promise to return.
Now an evil enemy called the Shades is after Kia and Starlin as they run into two unlikely friends, Esom and Grend. Meanwhile Kia’s father is dying and she needs to return home to claim her right as one of the rulers. They all must out run and outwit the Dark Master and others working for this notorious fiend.
