    Valjeanne Jeffers is a graduate of Spelman College and North Carolina Central University and a member of the Carolina African American Writer’s Collective. She is the author of Voyage of Dreams: A Collection of Otherwordly Stories, Immortal, Immortal II: The Time of Legend, Immortal III: Stealer of Souls, The Switch II: Clockwork, Immortal IV: Collision of Worlds, Mona Livelong: Paranormal Detective, and Colony: Ascension: An Erotic Space Opera

    Valjeanne Jeffers was featured in 60 Years of Black Women in Horror Fiction. She was a panelist during the Spelman College Octavia Butler Arts and Activism Celebration, organized by famed horror writer Tananarive Due. She was also a panelist during the FAMU Black to the Future Event (featuring Walter Mosley and Tananarive Due). Her poems have been published (under the pen name Valjeanne Jeffers-Thompson) in Pembroke Magazine; Revelry; The Ringing Ear: Black Poets Lean South; Drumvoices Revue; Say It Loud: Poems About James Brown; Liberated Muse I: How I Freed My Soul Volume I (as Valijeanne Jeffers); and Black Gold. She was also a 2007 semifinalist for the Rita Dove Poetry Award.

    Her fiction has been published in Pembroke Magazine; Steamfunk!; Griots: A Sword and Soul Anthology; Genesis Science Fiction Magazine; Genesis: A Black Science Fiction Anthology Volumes I and II; PurpleMag numbers 7, 8 and 9; LuneWing; Drumvoices; 31 Days of Steamy Mocha; Griots II: Sisters of the Spear; and Possibilities. The Switch II: Clockwork was also nominated for the best ebook novella of 2013 by the eFestival of Words. Her short story Awakening was also published as a podcast by Far Fetched Fables.
