The Guide to the Project Management Book of Knowledge, also known as the PMBOK® Guide is the best practice and the “go to” book for anyone studying for the Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM®) or the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certifications.

This work is a tool to assist those who:
•are just starting their study journey;
• have possibly taken a prep class, have read the PMBOK® Guide and their study manual at least twice and have been
studying the material; or
• For those who are about to take the test and need a means of refreshing themselves without have to go through the whole
PMBOK® Guide again.
This work contains what I call “study points”, short quick statements, that are easy to remember and conveys a bit of information that will assists students with their review of the material so that they can successfully pass the test and receive the PMI® certification they are seeking.
Suggestion:
•If you are just beginning your study, I would suggest that while you are reading and studying the PMBOK® Guide, with
each chapter you cover you review the study points in the corresponding chapter in this book. If you come across a new
concept use it as a study opportunity to learn more.
•If you are more advanced in your studies, then reading this material would perhaps help to you see this material through
new eyes and spur you on to more learning, and
•If you are at the point where the next step is the test itself, reviewing this material may remind you of things you have
forgotten, it may sharpen concepts that may be a little fuzzy, and hopefully it will be an overall good refresher.
