Dan Frederick Thomas finds his wife brutally murdered in their luxurious villa in a suburb of Boston. Traumatized and grief-stricken he abandons his law practice and build an upscale log cabin in a remote New Hampshire town, near his adoptive father, Konrad Hartling.
Four years later both Dan and his twin brother, Frank Pierce, who lives in Seattle on the other side of the continent, simultaneously experience a blackout, leaving them both with visions of violent scenes and an inexplicable urge to seek out the other to murder him.
When Dan finally understand the connection between these events, he realizes that he is just a pawn in a game more extensive and cynical than he could imagine.

Allan Kemper is a Swedish murder mystery author. He carries on a proud tradition of Scandinavian crime novels and Scandinavian mysteries, with this suspense thriller.
But his book puzzled several of the reviewers. Some said it was very deep, intellectually. Others said it was superficial.
