Having tried every political trick, Acamapichtli, a wise and vigorous ruler of the Aztecs, saw his chance when the delegation of the elite Tepanec warriors arrived at his island-city to enlist a force of the Aztec warriors. Intrigued with the leader of the delegation, an older but still wild, reckless, and very resourceful Atolli, the Emperor seizes his chance, gambling in a strange way for a long-term future.
