    Por Esther Meynell

    Sobre

No one knew Johann Sebastian Bach better than his wife, Magdalena.

Through this fictional biography she brings out the powerful and talented man Sebastian Bach was.

Born in Eisenach, in 1686, Sebastian Bach came from a family of musicians. Following his parents’ death, he went to live with his older brother, also an organist. His career as a musician bloomed, despite some early setbacks.

Magdalena first met Sebastian at St. Katharine’s church. Her love of music resonated with what she heard.

Through her father, a year later, she got the opportunity to meet and sing for him. From this point, they were virtually inseparable.

It wasn’t long before they were married. Magdalena became a mother to his four children from his first marriage. Together they had another thirteen. Her devotion to Sebastian was to last a lifetime.

Through life, relocation, and the trials and tribulations of composing and playing music, Sebastian never lost his passion for music.
