Paleolithic or Paleo diet is a program which primarily includes food products that were most likely consumed by humans during ancient times. It works on the premise that the nutritional needs of modern people were based on food products such as nuts, meats and berries which were largely available during that time.
Unlike in other dietary programs, you do not have to limit your food portions or calorie intake in paleo diet. It would require you to eat lots of vegetables and consume generous amounts of animal protein. In addition, it is high in fat but has low to moderate amounts of carbohydrates.
