This is the parallel English / Latin text of Virgil's Æneid, books I-XII.
The Aeneid is an epic poem, written by Virgil around the year 25 BC, that tells the story of Aeneas, a Trojan, who after traveling to Italy, became the ancestor of the Romans. It comprises about 10,000 lines in dactylic hexameter. The first six books tell the story of Aeneas's wanderings from Troy to Italy. The second half tells of the Trojans' victorious war upon the Latins.
