The Story of Doctor Dolittle

The British author Hugh Lofting is most noted for his creating the magical character Dr Dolittle. Dr Dolittle is best known for being able to talk to animals. In this first Dolittle book the doctor's parrot teaches him to speak to animals. Dr Dolittle then travels the world helping animals.
