Rules were made to be broken, and German guards who were out to enrich themselves at the Jew's expense, were no strangers to such a philosophy. In this heart rending, gut wrenching diary, we hear the story of a Jew who is working at a new experimental sewing factory. The guard in charge of that factory has convinced his superiors that he can make uniforms that are badly needed because the other camps can't quite produce enough. What the guard really has on his mind, however, is a nasty little side enterprise where gold teeth are extracted differently than what the camp rules state.
