ISIS is a jihadist group that has made some of its enemies in Iraq and Syria to merge to fight against them. The establishment of this group made rebels and militia groups like the Shia group of Iraq, the Sunnis, Kurds, Quds Force, Iraqi community groups, Turkmen, Yazidis, and Christians to become unlikely allies.
Most of the states have been old enemies but ISIS has forced them to create alliances to fight them. Recently, US assisted Shiite militia, Iraqi and Kurdish army to set Iraqi cities free from ISIS. Shiite militia is supported by Iran and thus bringing together the two enemies US and Iran to fight their common enemy (ISIS).
