Dwight David Eisenhower was the 34th President of the United States of America. In terms of his presidency, it was unlike any other president the country had ever seen, or would see again. A soldier, a general and a brilliant man, Eisenhower had chosen to step up to run for the presidency, despite the fact that he had been quite reluctant to accept such a prestigious office.
