“Trust in the LORD with all your heart . . .” (Proverbs 3.5)

Trusting in the Lord while undergoing trials can seem like an impossible task. We can’t see a way out, we’re not in control, and we’re not naturally calm and patient folks. But according to God’s Word, He is the only One we can trust in difficult times.
This short e-book of Scriptures and photos was written to bring encouragement and comfort to those who are experiencing trials.

With full-screen photos of flowers, scenery, butterflies, and more.

Are You Trusting in Jesus Christ?

Trusting in Jesus Christ is the most important trust you can have. Without Jesus, you’re not in right standing with God, no matter how many good things you’ve done or how nice a person you might be. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father but by me” (John 14.6).
The truth is, none of us is good. All of us are sinners: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3.23). And “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6.23). This means that as sinners we have come short of God’s standard and deserve death. But don’t despair: there’s good news.
The Good News! Jesus Christ has paid for our sins at Calvary. Even though we were sinners, Jesus loved us so much that He gave His life for us on the cross, dying the death that we deserved: “For He [God] has made Him [Jesus] who knew no sin to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5.21). And God “raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power . . .” (Ephesians 1.20–21), giving Jesus eternal life. And those who trust in Jesus are saved, having forgiveness of sins, peace with God, and eternal life: “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3.16).
Dear reader, do you now trust in Jesus Christ? If you do, won’t you go to God in prayer? Tell Him that you know you’re a sinner, that you’re sorry for your sins, and that you believe the Lord Jesus paid for your sins and that God raised Him from the dead. God’s Holy Spirit will come and live within you, giving you guidance and strength to live a holy and righteous life for Christ. You’ll have a hunger for God’s Word, a desire to do His will, and a yearning to fellowship with other believers. “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5.17). Welcome to the family, the Body of Christ!
