Warriors: Pu` Ali Koa explores the history of how the Hawaiians established their culture and lifestyle while also chronicling historical events of the twentieth century. While researching the history of Hawaii, author Lincoln Yamashita realized that the role of the warrior in Hawaiian history had not been properly documented. To provide a complete and accurate portrait of the warrior, he determined that it was essential to document the role of Warrior Spirit, the legacy of Hawaiian culture, and the history of the Hawaiian nation.
