Writing Jump: The Middle Schooler’s Writing and Grammar (English Edition)

Writing Jump is an ELA writing course for middle-school students. Writing Jump emphasizes paragraph and essay development with the goal of student success in middle school and beyond. Additionally, the course incorporates important features for middle school students and their teachers. These include the four-step writing process; writing organization patterns: narrative, argument, and informative/explanatory (expository); essential grammar for middle schoolers; an introduction to citing sources; flexibility: chapters 5–12 may be completed out of sequence; twenty-four, middle-school-level model essays, as well as many model paragraphs; and content that incorporates the common core state standards and supports their goals.
