You Might As Well Live! (English Edition)

This short story is inspired by Dorothy Parker’s most famous poem Résumé, which was written at the height of Roaring Twenties. The poem puts a satirical spin on the sensitive subject of suicide. Parker herself made a few unsuccessful attempts at suicide, mostly just after losing a lover. Author Zoe Wright assumes Mrs. Parker’s persona to create a backstory to this remarkably insightful, yet succinct written work.
