Suffering with desperate grief after hearing that her loving father has been murdered in Paris, and in such a brutal fashion, Alicia and her husband Steve are saddened beyond belief. Only and when the incompetent French Superintendent Jacques Le Mont offers them both a ridiculous summary of events, and tries to close the case; Cobra is summoned. An elite assassin, and taking some much needed R & R in her retreat in the most northern parts of Canada finds that Steve and Alicia's story is beyond sickening, and so much that she offers a lending hand. Fast pacing forwards and once she flies out to Paris to meet with the French idiot, her slightly unorthodox ways of treating people prevail. Only and as she kicks off in a big way, and with the whole of the French police force gunning for her, all manner of shit happens.
As she investigates the murder of Alicia's father though, a rare coin collector by the name of Edward, she find some truths that are a little to close to home. Stuff that comes forth from her past out in Chechnya twenty years before, and stuff that's come back to haunt her.
Will she continue with the case and in doing so protect Steve and Alicia and their two kids, or will she find herself so drawn up in her other issues, that she has to follow them instead.
Its a fast paced book taking you on one hell of a ride. Covering Paris, America, Africa and also uncovering another sick truth regarding an experiment which could undeniably affect the whole world.
