Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners – physicians and other healthcare professionals – with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

Educational Objectives
The goal of this program is to improve the recognition and management of social phobias and of anxiety disorders in geriatric patients. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Distinguish normal worry from anxiety disorders that significantly impair health and quality of life.
2. Recognize underlying social phobias in patients presenting with depression or other related psychiatric issues.
3. Provide medication and psychotherapy to successfully treat varying forms of anxiety.
4. Diagnose comorbidities commonly associated with anxiety disorders in older patients.
5. Identify unique issues and challenges associated with treating anxiety in geriatric patients.
